How to do it

  1. 1Stand on the calf raise machine with the pads on your shoulders.
  2. 2Place the balls of your feet on the platform with heels hanging off.
  3. 3Raise up onto your toes as high as possible.
  4. 4Lower your heels below the platform for a full stretch.

Tips

  • *Full range of motion is key — stretch at the bottom, squeeze at the top.
  • *Hold the top for 1-2 seconds for maximum contraction.
  • *Calves recover fast — high reps (15-25) and high frequency work best.
