How to do it

  1. 1Lie on a decline bench with your feet secured.
  2. 2Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder-width.
  3. 3Unrack and lower the bar to your lower chest.
  4. 4Press back up to full lockout.

Tips

  • *Targets the lower chest fibers.
  • *Use a spotter — it's harder to unrack on decline.
  • *Some people find this easier on their shoulders than flat bench.
